There have been many editions of The Mammoth Hunters published between 1937 and now and this edition has the most complete number of illustrations by Zdeněk Burian. In addition there are afterwords (in Czech) describing the publishing history of the book as well as many exam- ples of illustrations that were redrawn for different editions.
